origins Semantise was formed in 2000 by Dr Oggy East and Dr Rich Edwards. Oggy and Rich previously worked together in the School of Education, University of Wales, Bangor. We've built up our business in the UK & internationally by providing constant support for our products. All our clients benefit from face to face training when one of our applications is installed, and afterwards have access to on-line and telephone support from a personal consultant and developer who have detailed knowledge of their system and requirements. Many of our customers have come to us through recommendation

what we do - part one We are Channel Partners of Open Text Corporation, and sell their FirstClass collaborative intranet software, particularly (but not exclusively) to educational organisations. We develop FirstClass applications which integrate with SQL databases and have suite of next generation school management
tools Open School Information Services (OSIS). The development of OSIS applications involves close co-operation with partner schools to ensure the delivery of robust, easy-to-use products. We also provide FirstClass Administrator, Power-user and End-user Training, and offer on- and off-site consultancy plus email / phone support services. what we do - part two We offer consultancy and development services relating to XML, XSLT, Java, SQL and Relational Databases (including design, deployment and performance tuning). Rich has written a chapter for a book called 'XML Data Management' (edited by Akmal Chaudhri), published in 2003 and is the creator of minx, an open source XML repository. We advise all types and sizes of organisations on systems development and integration to ensure the best use of ICT resources. more on semantise services |
